Enjoy a mooch around the town centre to discover some surprising aspects of Stockport and hear about some of the characters past and present

Stockport, often overlooked in the shadow of neighbouring Manchester but lots of surprises in the streets both ancient and modern, new plans for the town have brought regeneration and some great artwork, not to mention the rise of our sports people and music.

You'll pass the 'Wedding Cake' Town Hall, a Cockleshell Hero and a film set on the way to take a look at Jimi Hendrix.

Not just restored Cotton Mills but some great architecture throughout the centuries, sitting cheek by jowl with the odd Magpie build!
