As part of the Salford Centenary celebrations, this subsided tour will take you on a journey through East Salford, exploring some of the places, people and stories that have helped shape the city over the past century.

From the iconic red brick of the University to the historic Salford Victoria Theatre, you'll discover the heritage that sits right on our doorstep.

Led by an experienced local guide and supported by volunteers from the Salford Victoria Theatre Trust, the tour will bring Salford's story to life through engaging commentary, local knowledge and hidden histories.

Along the route, we'll explore key landmarks and reflect on the significance they have played in the development of the city.

Whether you're a lifelong Salford resident, new to the area, or simply interested in local history, this tour offers a unique opportunity to see familiar streets through a new lens and gain a deeper appreciation for the communities that have shaped Salford's identity.

The tour is delivered in partnership with the Salford Victoria Theatre Trust, a newly established charity dedicated to preserving, restoring and celebrating Salford Victoria Theatre and its place in the city's heritage.

Through projects like this, the Trust aims to connect people with Salford's history, strengthen community pride and inspire future generations to value the stories and landmarks that make the city unique.
