Suzanne qualified as an ITG Green Badge Guide in 2009, and loves guiding people around Greater Manchester.
During her guiding career she has had the opportunity to use her knowledge on all kinds of projects. For example, the BBC TV series Hairy Bikers "The Pubs that Built Britain", and Lancaster University's commission to design and lead a "Women and Protest" walk linked to their research project Remembering Resistance.
She has designed community trails and heritage exhibitions for Bolton Council and The Churches Conservation Trust - and regularly works with the Peoples History Museum leading their City Trails for schools and colleges. Suzanne also delivers her Raucous Afternoon Tea events at Elizabeth Gaskell House - these events combine entertainment and stories over afternoon tea.
Her Manchester literary walks are commissioned by Manchester Literature Festival. And she co-designed and has led the Rail Ale Tours on the East Lancashire Railway in Bury for over 10 years.
Suzanne is flexible and happy to discuss what content you want as part of your tour. Her knowledge is exhaustive; a flavour of some specialisms would be:
