From 1 August, our celebrated Discover Manchester walk is free. Simply show up on the day at 1100 at Manchester Central Library and enjoy a ninety-minute tour of the original, modern city with our qualified guides. You are welcome to tip your guide at the end of the walk.

Manchester Food Walks: Northern Quarter Taster

What You’ll See

A roving lunch of five small plates in the best Northern Quarter eateries, accompanied by stories of Manchester's boho district, old and new. You'll see the district's history, from its historic markets, shops and rag traders to its cultural regeneration, highlights and attitude of today.

You’ll discover the history of Afflecks Palace and the Arndale, the curry cafes and the area's standout public art, and walk in the footsteps of some of Manchester's most famous names.

Ticket price includes all food and guiding. Other drinks not included. £40 per person. Two hours duration.

Meet outside Caffe Nero, under the concrete pavilion in Piccadilly Gardens, by Piccadilly Gardens Metrolink tram stop, M1 1AF.
