Unearth the unique history and outstanding architecture of Ancoats, the world's first industrial suburb.

Dark satanic cotton mills, child-labour, pressed-glass, slums, poverty, canals, ice-cream, barrel-organs. The Peeps, SS Arandora Star tragedy, Cutting Room Square, The Hallé Orchestra, regeneration.

This guided walk isn't suitable for people with limited mobility, as the route includes steps and uneven ground.

Please wear sensible footwear.
